Development and manufacture of industrial microprocessor systems

Ruby Inc. has been developing and manufacturing electronic devices since 1995 and this business alone activity accounted for 25% of our revenues in 2005. We have acquired lots of experience in development, logistics and manufacturing over the past 15 years. We develop and manufacture custom devices designed to solve our own needs or those of our clients. Our products are controlled by microprocessors from the simple 8-bit type to the more advanced 32-bit microcomputers running Linux operating system. We select the solution that is the most suitable for the task and use the most practical hardware structure enabled by the vast know-how of our colleagues. Our primary design considerations are reliability and durability. We rely on Ruby's experienced IT staff allowing us to set up more complicated systems with a single contractor.

Manpower

Our employees and subcontractors hold degrees in engineering, have vast professional experience and consider designing electronic devices as their calling. The aptitude of the young, energetic members of our team for new technologies and continuous training ensure that their knowledge is always up-to-date. Tools

Development and manufacturing processes are supported by a select toolset. In addition to our sophisticated CAD system (Protel DXP), we use the most efficient compiler programs (HI-TECH). Our measuring instruments and emulators also support effective work.

Quality Assurance

We place top priority on device reliability as early as the design phase. Therefore we only use materials and parts from certified suppliers including Intel, Tyco, Microchip and Wago. Their products are benchmarked in our own laboratory where custom test software analyse and rate the devices to minimise the risk of human error. We continuously improve our products based on user feedback. Our goal is to design and manufacture durable and reliable devices that fully meet our clients' needs.

Achievements

In recognition of our work, in 2005 Intel Corp. recognised us with the "The Most Innovative PXA Development in Infrastructure Operation" Award for our "T-REX" 32-bit microprocessor module.
Under registration no. KMOP-1.1.4-09-2009-0016, we have been awarded with funding for the development of our RubiCon management system, which project we completed in October 2010.
Under registration no. KMOP-1.1.1-09/1-2009-0024, we have received funding for the development of an engine controller unit supporting the use of a petrol and ethanol mix
